I have DVR'd the first 3 episodes of the show and am going to definitely find some time to watch the series. It looks to be fun and an easy way to connect younger kids to the Marvel Universe. Something that I will definitely be pushing off, with corresponding toys. Hmmm....do I hear cross-sell?Not everything could be about cross-sell, up-sell or marketing? No, not everything. Somethings are just meant to be fun. Like the Super Hero Squad. Hmmmmm.....I don't remember if I have the Falcon.

Hmmm.... It looks fun and silly. I don't really see it as a gateway to comics for kids. It's more of a way for Marvel to tap into the Nickelodeon watching crowd and sell more toys.
Also, what's up with that new character they've created for the show. I know he appeared in a comic somewhere, but come on, it's really for this show.
