Once again: "Where were these toys when I was a kid?" 

35 Five Foot Range.   You could sit on the roof of your house and pick off your older brother in his "I am so special" convertible.  

Well, okay, I would have used a paint gun if I would have had one.  Right when he was heading out to hang out with his friends.  By the time he figures out where you're at, you could have popped a few more at him and the freshly washed car.   Oh yeah!  

If you think about it, you're going to get in trouble one way or another, so you might as well make it worthwhile. 

But back to the Nerf Longstrike Sniper Rifle.  Definitely my kindof a Nerf gun.  This - or the Nerf Vulcan Automatic Heavy Blaster.

So, I guess the real question is:  Do I buy this for the neighbors?  They have already hinted at a water balloon battle.   Do they not know what they are getting into?  Seriously!?!

......time to look up the balloon launcher.....

Geek Pranks - A step above the Rest

I'm not certain if you have seen this or not. I hadn't. Someone at work told me about it, and I have been considering getting it for my nephew. I just have to figure out which one I need to give him.

I think this would be perfect on Bayard's desk. Something to remind them that they are out there. As soon as he turns his back or opens that door, they are there. (No, not that door, the other door).

But seriously, this little guy isn't that scary. He is almost cute. Aliens = cute. Something is wrong there.

I have never been a big fan or advocate of the whole alien brood. Almost any version of Windows--except for XP--is way more disturbing than this beastie. I guess my point is it is less frightening than the problem ladden computer I would plug him into. (Zimm's bobble heads are a helluva lot more disturbing.)

What the.....16 Port Hub!!!!

But it makes perfect sense. You can never have enough toys plugged into one socket. It really doesn't look that cool, which is rather disappointing, but it hits the geek radar. Only problem is that it is $159.99, and I would rather buy something else. I can live with the wires and other hubs

Comic Geek Agenda

My neighbors next door had a baby girl. Down the street it was a boy. Across the street they are going to have a baby boy, while his sister just had a baby girl.

What I realize, is that I have to start early. I have to indoctrinate the children into the Geek lifestyle. I have to start it off with something simple, and then, as they grow, to keep the work up. To empower them with their inner geekiness until - one day - they turn to their mom and/or dad and say, "Can I go to ComicCon?"

With all of them being babies, I can buy them a Nintendo or comic book. I can flood the house with Ben 10 DVDs, but I can buy them baby clothes. Lots and lots of baby clothes.

Things that I want.....The Enigma Trench

Growing up, I was your Goth Dungeons and Dragons player, and this is the coat that I always wanted. In fact, I spent one Halloween searching every mall and store throughout Houston and Austin for something like this, but low and behold, I never found it.

This is the perfect "Modern Death" piece (includes matching gloves); however, most will recognize it from Kingdom of Hearts.

A great piece, but alas, I am now too old for such a thing. I would merely look like a creepy old man in this thing.

A System for All of You Gen-Xers

When I saw this, I immdeiately thought "How Cool is that!!!!" If I hadn't moved so much and (for one reason or another) lost the systems, I would still have my old Sega and NES systems. (Note: I loved the old Sega ads too).

Doctor Who USB Hub

This is probably the coolest way to have a USB Hub on your desk, and while I have seen Optimus Prime, R2-D2, and (even) Darth Vader, I have to say that the Dr. Who TARDIS tops them all. Maybe it is because I am a huge fan of the recent run, or maybe it is because I think it would look better then Optimus or Vader staring at me. Either way, this makes my 'too cool' list and a great replacement for my standard "blah" USB Hub.
