Gotham City Impostors

I bought "Justice League Doom", which deserves a short discussion at a later date, and I saw a trailer for this game.  As I had fallen behind the times in my geekiness, I had missed this one; however, that doesn't make it any less FUNNY!
Mixed reviews for the demo, but here's hoping to that they addressed the negative reviews.

Can't Get Here Soon Enough: Diablo III

I have enjoyed the Diablo series since day 1.

I'm not a die-hard Diablo fan, but it is one of the few games that I have enjoyed time after time - after time.  In fact, I was thinking of downloading 1 and 2.  Though, I tend to prefer 1 over 2, and I really wasn't that thrilled with the extension packs.

I just watched some video's of the final battles for both 1 and 2, which was something that I have never done before.  It was interesting to see how other people finished their battles - what spells and weapons they used.  Interesting enough, I tend to use defensive spells offensively.  Never realized it before, but it is something that I tend to repeat in a lot of the games that I play.

You have probably already seen it, but here it is again:

Dungeonquest

For the last year, I have been reviewing, considering, and debating which RPG game I want to buy. Most of the time, I sadly realize that I have no one with which to play the game. At other times, I do not care.

I will find some new (or old) game either at the store or online, and then I spend a day or two researching and reading all about it. In a way, I make up for the lack of having any fellow gamers who would tolerate my learning curve or my creative questions that have nothing to do with the game.

Recently, I went so far as to buy three of the most recent DandD books - on clearance. They sit quietly on my shelf gathering dust. I figure the same thing will happen to Dungeonquest when I do buy it.

Honestly, I don't care.

A newer edition is coming out (Sept. 2010), and I loved the original. So.....here is to my purchasing Dugeonquest and never getting to play it.

Robert: Or I could lend you your favorite 6 year old niece to play it with you.... Just a thought. One of her other uncles was teaching her how to play World of Warcraft.

What's up on your New Year Weekend?

How have you been spending your new year weekend? I thought I would give you a glimpse as to what I have been up to.

One key difference in my playing of this game is that I am now wearing reading glasses during game play. So - here is to another year - getting older and still operating as a kid.

Might & Magic! The CLASH of HEROES!

The older you get - the easier it is to determine what Santa will be leaving in your stocking. The only downside is that you have to wait until the 24th to enjoy something that you should be enjoying NOW!

For Christmas, I'm getting Might and Magic: Clash of Heroes. It is a turned based RPG, which eliminates any factor of me stressing out over the game. It has some puzzles, which should make take up some time......as I look up the solutions on the web. But here it is!!!!

For those of you would like to find out a little bit more, see some screen shots, or simply order it, I leave you with an Amazon link.

The real game that I should be playing is World of Warcraft, but I realized YEARS ago that I had some other hobbies besides one single online game that I would never leave.

Nintendo DS Fall 2009

I have been checking out the games for Nintendo DS, and I wanted to share some of my initial impressions. So....
  • Fighting Fantasy - Looks like a Doom based fantasy version for DS. Pass
  • MySims Agents - I haven't played a Sims game....YET. This one looks like one that I will try. Buy
  • Kingdom Hearts - I bought the Gatekeeper Jacket at DragonCon. Enough Said? Buy.
  • Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Mobilized - For Nintendo DS? Really? Really? Who would buy this one anyway?
  • Harvest Moon: Sunshine Islands - I wouldn't be caught playing this one. Definitely wouldn't be caught. No comment.
  • Phantasy Star 0 - No. The only saving grace of this character may be the Halo looking character that you can build.
  • Assassin's Creed II: Discovery - I didn't play the first, but I might try this one out.
  • The Legend of Zelda: Spirits Track - Already commented.
  • Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of the Sky - I want the next Yu-Gi-Oh! Yes, I play the DS games and watch the series. Hmmmm. Maybe I can find a used version of Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's Stardust Accelerator.
Yu-Gi-Oh!

The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks

In honor of the Jake's video weekend, I wanted to post some upcoming Nintendo DS games that have definitely caught my eye.

Zelda: Spirit Tracks

and for 2010, we should be on the watch for....

Golden Sun DS

I mean, seriously, what other games could you be thinking about when these are on the verge of being released. ;)

Am I missing anything, Jake?

Now that Jake joined the team: Project Natal.

As Jake seems to be the gamer of us, I figured that gave me an excuse to finally post this video. I saw it last month and was excited as hell.

I'm actually a Nintendo fan, but this might change everything.

Monday Morning Start

Growing up playing the original D&D games, nothing was more exciting then picking up a few dice here and there. At one point, I had a bag of about 30 dice of different quality and luck.

If I played today, this would definitely be sitting on my desk, so I thought I would start the morning off with a bowl of luck. I just hope that there are enough 4, 8, 10, 12 and 20 sided included and it is not all 6 sided.

However, with 400 dice in the bowl - you are bound to find the right one for you.

A System for All of You Gen-Xers

When I saw this, I immdeiately thought "How Cool is that!!!!" If I hadn't moved so much and (for one reason or another) lost the systems, I would still have my old Sega and NES systems. (Note: I loved the old Sega ads too).

So here it is! A system that will play both the old NES and Sega Systems from the past.

And here is a brief list of the features:
  • Game Console Plays Old Sega Genesis and NES Games
  • Two slots allow you to plug in a Genesis or NES cartridge
  • Switch chooses from NES (8 Bit) or Genesis (16 Bit) mode
  • Connects to your TV via standard composite video out
  • Stereo sound (depending on game)
  • Comes with two Genesis style controllers
  • Plays most Japanese import games

What the .... "Health Energy Potions"?

ZELDA - Health Energy Potions!!!!!

This is for the Zelda / Nintendo Gamer in all of us. You can finally have the health energy potions that you are ever so reliant upon on in the game. You can purchase a pack of 48 potions for a small amount of $153.80.

WHAT! $153.80!

I think Link needs another Pharmacist or drug or some type of energy drink? Hell, give him a Red Bull instead.
