In addition to Zimm's post the other day, I want to throw in my 2 cents:
These are hit and miss with me. There are some I really like. Others, not so much.
The monster/creature ones are often the most interesting. My whole collection began with Chewbacca. He's cool looking. Then I got Han. Honestly, I don't really like his Mugg, but I had Chewie. Then Darth Vader. Darth Vader, Darth Maul, and Boba Fett are probably the coolest of all of the Star Wars Muggs. I've recently seen Asajj Ventress and she may rank up there.
Moving on to Marvel's Muggs, The Hulk and Iron Man have been my favorites. That Skrull Zimm showed me last week is pretty cool. I'd like to see the Thanos, but I don't think I want him. Galactus is cute, and that just ain't right. I also really, really like the Ghost Rider, which I have.
I think I'd rather have the Spidey and Friends line continue than to have these. But that's me. We'll see what Daredevil looks like
Next up, there is going to be a GI Joe line. Other than Snake Eyes, I'm not sure those characters will translate well. And even that doesn't really appeal to me.
So they're definitely a personal choice.

Like all toys and statues - there are some that translate better than others, and one merely needs to take into consideration that they were designed for kids. I just don't know how you can always translate characters into something cute for kids and meaningful to the collector.
Damn - I wanted this to be a goofy comment.
