Recently, I was given two cool statues--The Ame-Comi Batman and Robin--by my Comic Geek Patron. The detailing on both is wonderful. Robin's belt is loose, hanging around her waist. The pic in the reviews does not do Batman justice. He looms--as any good Batman should. But none of this is to the point. Zimm and Robert have already weighed in. (Sadly, I have begun coveting these things.)
My question is in a different direction. And although it appears simplistic, it is not. Should I take the two to my office?
Right now, they are at home in my study next to a pile of books and a box of arrowheads. They look good where they are--having displaced my Ame-Comi Wonder Woman. But I am tempted to bring them to my campus and put them on my desk, where they can keep an eye on enrollment forms, ungraded essays, and problematic students. I hesitate, though.
Do I want to keep them close to home, safe from the world outside? Is my hesitation because I am still closeted? My bobble head Darth Maul lurks behind a book shelf, next to a coffe maker vaguely out of the of sight.

(And is the fact that I am even going back and forth on this whole issue a sign of my descent into geekdom?)

Personally, I would put them where I could enjoy them the most. At home (in my office), I put some statues in the the most precarious of places; however, by putting them there, I can see them and enjoy them even more.
Take them to work - especially if they make you smile.
Yeah, what Zimm said. Seriously, have them where ever they make you happy.
You need to keep the Wonder Woman one out too. It's the coolest one.
Interesting you two Jedi Knights of Geekdom did not comment on my final question. Is this a descent?
(And btw, thanks Robert for overlooking the misplaced modifier and other atrocities.)
