Heroes

Is anyone still watching Heroes? Monday's episode was the first I've watched in weeks. Sadly little progress has been made in the storylines.

The Sylar/Matt Parkman situation was, for me, the most interesting part of the whole episode.

I did like how they tied back to season 1 by Sylar taking Matt back to Midland, TX, to the diner where Charlie worked.

Otherwise, it wasn't really very interesting.

One thing I don't understand is why they keep tweaking the various characters' powers, especially Peter Petrelli. It doesn't add anything of interest to the story for me.

Anyone with a different opinion?

I agree for the most part. However the show is lingering among good plot points and interesting characters who you can lose your lust for.

That been said they are taking a step foward in Heroes in this season with the story line getting everyone to have their own purpose. Just as Hiro finally doing his own thing, the cop guy battling (somewhat stupidly) Sylar on his own mind. It can be taken in so many ways... so many directions... so far so good.

As for redemptive episodes look no further than a few episodes ago in which a "convenient" character was brought for by making him a healer. The plot could of forgotten him like they have for so many other characters before, yet they gave him a "mutant death" stripped out of X-men which in turn was from racial tensions of before. Tragic end and even sweeter revenge from the main antagonist of the season.

Yes in all the show kinda sucks, but it CAN be great! It's slowly getting back to its true roots: "comics".

There is still hope in a world with HEROES.

Thanks for the response.

Interesting. I still have the episodes I haven't watched recorded.

It does and always has had potential. I've been of the belief for a while now that they've outlived theirs. We will see.
