Just how far does the rabbit hole go? There are times when playing Shadow Complex when you think the subterranean military base will never end...but it does after about six hours of game play. Shit! Spoiler! I mean...or doe's it take about six hours to complete? I guess I could cut this review short, and simply say "Go Buy Shadow Complex Now!". It's easily the best $15 I have spent all year. I have heard a lot of people compare Shadow Complex to Super Metroid but honestly I never played it so I wouldn't know. Sure the side scroll action takes me back to my NES days, and maybe that taste of nostalgia cranks up the fun a bit. But this little game has a lot going for it.
I really dig the crazy pulp story line. Evidently it's based in the same universe as the book Empire. And evidently the book Empire was written by a total nut-bar named Orson Scott Card.
The weapons, and upgrades are great. And my OCD really kicked in to find every last collectible...which I did. I even snagged the Status Update: Single Achievement.
I wish all titles were available for download. With one click it was saved to my Xbox 360 hard drive. No Amazon. No Gamestop. Just click, BAM, done!
But Shadow Complex is so last week...I mean Batman: Arkham Asylum just came in the mail so forget Shadow Complex I'm gonna get my Batarang on!

Would you say that $15 would be better spent on Shadow Complex or a Tijuana Tug Job? Actually, $15 isn't too much; I could easily afford both.
