OK, I'm trying my hand at reviewing statues.

It's no secret that Nightcrawler is one of my favorite comic book characters of all time.

This Nightcrawler bust is one of the best sculptures I've seen of Nightcrawler ever. The most difficult part of creating a three dimensional Nightcrawler is that some of his features should be hidden by the shadows. Back in the days that John Byrne was drawing the X-Men, you couldn't even see his hairline because it faded into the shadows of his forehead.

While there are no shadows on the face of this bust, they almost capture his grin. Almost. His fangs make it difficult to make him not look menacing while smiling. The Nightcrawler comes with two interchangeable left hands: one is a fist and the other is grasping a sword, reminiscent to the Dave Cockrum mini series from the '80s. Also, the base is reversible and can display either his logo or his unfurrified (yes, I just made up that word) face.

Points in favor: Good likeness, optional hand with sword, he's smiling.

Points against: Not much, smile is not as carefree as I'd like, could use more shadow on and around his face.
